There are 13 apps across the PlayStation 4 that can do several different types of video streaming from various sources. What was not included in this pack that came out when the PS4 launched was UltraViolet video streaming, but it turns out that it was just beneath the surface.
The Vudu app has been working with an UltraViolet connection for some time now. All users have to do is download the app, or access it in a web browser, and connect their UltraViolet account. Once the PS4 user does this, they will have their selection of UltraViolet videos available for streaming on their console whenever they please.
UltraViolet digital copies of movies are going through the market here in 2014 with the new sales of Blu-rays. What you can do is buy a Blu-ray copy of a movie; it comes with an 8-digit code which you can enter through UVVU.com, and it will be available in your collection wherever it may be.
The connections are also available through Target Ticket, M-GO, Kaleidescape, Flixter, CinemaNow, and on the Nook series Barnes and Noble tablets. UltraViolet is working in association with Paramount Pictures, Universal pictures and Sony Pictures and it is expending very quickly.
