The PlayStation Move could cost less than $100.There has been very little news about the pricing of the new PlayStation Move controller. However, GameStop’s Canadian site is showing the expected pricing (and release date).

GameStop priced it at $59.99 CAD which exchanges to about $58.77. But this could just be idle talk.

A UK magazine published an article saying that the controller will be “around £45.” Both of these numbers could just be rumors, but it is lower than some earlier speculation.

Anyone buying the new controller will need to get the PlayStation Eye as well (which costs $40) to be able to take advantage of the new games that use motion-sensors.

Sony’s Playstation Move was highly praised when it was introduced at in March 2010 at the 2010 Game Developers Conference in San Fransisco. PSMove will be released worldwide in fall 2010, however, Sony hasn’t announced a specific date yet.

Here are some of the new games Sony will be releasing to go with the PlayStation Move:

* Move Party (working title)
* Motion Fighter (working title)
* Sports Champions™
* The Shoot (working title)
* TV Superstars™
* Brunswick® Pro Bowling

Sony unveiled its Move system Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Game Developers conference.  The system will be available as a kit that includes the Move controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, and a Move game for the PlayStation 3.

The Move will allow gamers to play the new games as if they were part of the action. It will be similar to the Wii but more advanced. The Eye camera detects the exact location and movements of the controllers. The Eye also has voice and image recognition which will allow for alternate reality games.

The Move made make it a good idea of Sony to release the PlayStation 4 sooner. The PS3 won’t allow four player to use the Move remote and subcontroller which is required for some games. The PS4 might have more Bluetooth ports which will allow for more players using the Move remotes and subcontroller.
