The Slim Playstation 3 has just hit  the shelves and as well as a sleek new design, the Slim Playstation 3 features a new price. The Slim Playstation 3 is going to debut at the very low cost of $299, thats right, all of the great features of the original Playstation 3 console wrapped in a much more sleek design and for 100 dollars less, looks like Christmas shopping just got that much easier.

Sony claimed it was all a bunch of internet rumors, and more or less ignored the fact that it was well known that the Playstation 3 was ready to reduce in size and cost. On September 1st the playstation 3 Slim will debut, a thinner console that uses less energy, and is only $299

The whole idea that Sony had thrown a blind eye to the issue was not lost on them though. One of the best commercials… of course were bias, is this one below that was launched by the Sony Ad crew, and is just awesome.

Great way for the Playstation guys to recognize, yes there are tons of rumors out there… and NO, they are not likely to be the ones to have told you first, nor will they confirm any of those rumors… Just some side humor to go with the launch of the Slim Playstation 3 at an amazing cost of only $299

The Slim Playstation 3 is a great console at a great price, is highly recomended, and is set to hit shelves Sept. 1, but untill then lets take a look at what the new Playstation 3 console is going to look like. The new Playstation 3 Slim is a great opportunity for those that have not yet moved on from their Playstation 2, to finally do so.

Many are spectulatong that the Playstation 4 release will be pushed back even father due to the price drop in the Playstation 3. A cheaper Playstation 3 leans to the theory that Sony will begin pushing much lower cost and more niche games through the Playstation Network, offering users to play more games for less money.

The slimmer version of a Playstation 3 has been on the drawing boards and in rumors for quite some time now, although it is now expected to finally be released, in the fourth quarter of 2009. But slim is not all that the new Playstation 3 has to offer. There are a lot of rumors about what could be included in the next generation of the Playstation 3… but only a few substantial ones.

There is expected to be an upgrade of the whole online functionality and system of the Playstation 3, this of course wont require a new console but should increase game play and over all desire (and hopefully market share) for the Playstation 3. The main additions will include an upgrade to the software, that will add the abilities for users to rate eachother as well as the ability to report players to Sony.

There is a ton of spectulation on what will be included in terms of updating the online Playstation systems, and nothing can be said for sure…

But you can surely expect a slimmer, less expensive, more capapble Playstation 3 this Christmas

Sony is the electronic giant who brought about a revolution in the gaming industry with the introduction of its playstation series. Not only did it change the whole experience of gaming but led to widespread increase in the number of gamers throughout the world.

Sony has release 3 playstation series so far with the latest being PS3. The PS4 series is currently being researched and will be coming in the market very soon. Recently reports have surfaced that Sony is planning to introduce a thinner version of PS3. The main competitors of the playstation series are the Nintendo and Xbox. They have come up with new versions which are much slimmer and contain good graphics.  They together form the 7th generation of gaming series. Sony has recently developed blue ray discs for the gaming purposes. This has been done to prevent privacy. The playstation series comes in different sizes like the 20GB, 40GB and the 60 GB. It depends on the requirements of the gamers. Each sized playstation will contain some unique features. Considering the competition from Xbox and Nintendo, Sony has decided to introduce slimmer versions that could potentially be cheaper also.The E3 conference is going to be the stage where the new and slimmer version of the Sony playstation 3 is going to be launched. There is no concrete evidence suggesting this. But rumors are high that the PS3 will be released at his conference.

Sony has remained tight lipped about this entire issue. But many images of this version has been released on the net and looking at these devices, it could well seem to be the introduction of slimmer video game devices. However, one cannot altogether believe this as the images which have been are all blurred and no clear cut explanation has been given by Sony so far. The images do indicate that It may be the future of the millions of gamers out there. Some people do not believe in the authenticity of the device and feel that such technology cannot be achieved easily. The popular magazine Engadget has released these images in its site. Sony was apparently angered by this news and has served a cease and desist letter. It has also warned the site to take the images off it. Since they consider it to be highly confidential, they are also threatening to legally sue the magazine. The main reason people doubt the authenticity is because the official word hasn’t come from Sony yet and the Chinese manufacturers have allegedly released the images.

The slimmer version of playstation can be very much true. All will be known in the E3 conference that will take place.The main advantage of using the thinner version of PS3 would the low power consumption and easy portability. We all know that thinner items can be easily carried to different places easily and hence if the PS3 come as a slimmer version the portability would make it easier for you to take it to your friend’s house and play there. The low power consumption would also make it ideal to play for long hours. So all should be excited because the E3 conference will definitely give the answer to all questions we have on the thinner version of the PS3.
