Playstation Move Release Date

The Playstation Move is the new motion controller set to be released for purchase Fall of 2010, making it the perfect Christmas gift.

The Playstation Move has been in the works for quite some time now and it is amazing so little information was leaked before the official announcement, a real credit to the Playstation team and really all of Sony. But more importantly the Playstation Move is like nothing else although it will be in direct market competition with the Wii and at some point project Natal… The Playstation Move stands alone.

The Playstation Move is the first device (controller?) that has truly achieved the goal of placing the user within the game. Take a moment and watch some of the videos below to see for your self what it is like being able to play with the full axis spectrum with a controller in hand… There really is nothing like the Playstation Move. This is also one of the two videos Sony released introducing the Playstation Move, so the games albeit amazing are still first generation.

This video does great to show off many of the uses and capabilities of the new device and really that the Playstation Move is going to open a whole new type of gaming for the Playstation 3, and likely to add several years to the life of the console. With a “Fall 2010″ release date we suspect pre-orders and pre-buy opportunities to begin as early as September, but the majority of these amazing additions to the Playstation 3 will not see game play till the morning after Christmas.
