Playstation 4 Games News and Update :
It is known by just about all gamers now that the Playstation 4 is just beyond the horizon, and expected by those that don’t know. It has gone far beyond the assumed state and past being just a rumor… The Playstation 4 is a certainty, and has been mentioned by the Sony big wigs more times than is necessary to validate such certainty.
What is less known is the status of the Playstation 4 games…
There are several reports that there are Playstation 4 games already under development. This is not just another rumor either, this was first reported by Game Informer Australia and has since spread across the web on various game news sites and portals. This is exciting news as it brings us even closer to the eventual announcements and release of the Playstation 4.
The development of Playstation 4 games currently taking places coincides perfectly with the expected release of the next generation gaming console, 2012.
There are a lot of questions left about what is to be expected and how far into the development stage we currently… but any news is good news.

There have also been several reports that Sony is currently working with multiple developers on the creation of the Playstation 4 SDK (standard development kit). A easier to use SDK for the Playstation 4 will certainly result in a better line up of games, not only in quantity of games developed and distributed but also in the quality of games that are developed and distributed, and that’s good news for ALL Playstation gamers.

The expected development time for a Playstation game has been in the past roughly 2 years… with no way of knowing when exact the development of the Playstation 4 games began (assuming it has, as has been reported) its hard to nail down an exact time to expect the official release… But it is obviously coming, and possibly coming soon.

There has been a lot of talk online recently regarding the Playstation 4 and that there are wide spread reports of the development of the Playstation 4 games. The first of these reports came from Game Informer in Australia, but since then the internet has been buzzing with Playstation 4 rumors and news.
The development of the Playstation 4 games, coming right on the heels of the launch of the Playstation Move says a lot about how busy the guys at Sony have been! There is so much going on with the Playstation right now, there are literally millions of gamers at the edge of their seat just waiting to see what is next. The success of the Playstation Move, and possibly all motion gaming for Playstation, will come down to the quality of the Playstation Move games… and the games for the Move are looking great!
It is very likely that the Playstation 4 games will be in development for at least a couple of years before the launch of the Playstation 4 console… This is a classic tactic to ensure that once the Playstation 4 console is ready for distribution there will already be an extended PS 4 game line up.
There is very little information available on the Playstation 4, and it is still early in the wait for the console…
Just as it is still too early to be able to answer any of the important Playstation 4 console or game questions, such as:
- How much will the Playstation 4 cost?
- When will the Playstation 4 be released?
- What will the Playstation 4 be capable of?
- What will the Playstation 4 look like?
- Will the Playstation 4 have Blu-Ray?
- Will the Playstation 4 offer motion controlled gaming?
There are a ton of questions left to be answered, and even a bunch we have yet to ask about the Playstation 4… So we are turning to you the reader, let us know what you think the Playstation 4 will be like, and what you expect from a next generation gaming system.
With more and more information coming available all of the time it is important as a gamer to keep coming back and checking for updates, the Playstation 4 will take the gaming world by storm and is something every gamer will want to be apart of from the very beginning! Sony Playstation 4 Games – Downloadable

The Sony Playstation 4 could possibly be the first of a new type of consoles, one that won’t require disks, or a tangible game at all. While this may seem like a far-fetched concept, more and more intangibles are becoming only available through downloads. Look at many of the recent additions to the online playstation store… or for that matter, outside of the gaming industry, Napster or iTunes. Game consoles like the XBox 360 and the Nintendo Wii also do downloadable games and downloadable game add-ons online.
Could this concept take over the the majority of sales for games over the next decade?

Playstation Store
Some of the most popular titles that Playstation gamers can download right now are Final Fantasy VII and Battlefield: 1943, and at a much more reasonable price than they would or have been available in stores. This gives the Sony company the ability to sell their games to their players at the most reasonable prices possible, and the ability to pay developers as much as possible. No big game distributors or retail stores acting as game brokers for the public means big savings and more niche games for players everywhere.
This type of direct marketing can be exactly what Sony needs to put the Playstation back as the number one console. While the Playstation 3 is arguably a more capable console than that of it’s competitors, the amount of money required to produce Playstaion 3 consoles or develop Playstation games has led to a difficult year for Sony in 2008. Sony has spent the majority of this slow economic period implementing and adding to the Playstation Network and the Playstation Store, further developing and increasing their brand, and making the first of many downloadable games.
The Playstation Store is Playstation’s very own virtual marketplace available to Playstation 3 and PSP gamers, offering a full range of downloadable content for purchase and available free of charge. The downloadable content available from within the Playstation store ranges from complete games, modified games, game trailers, movies, and various tv shows, with more being added all of the time.
This new type of marketing begs the question, does Sony need the game distributors anymore?
While it is unlikely that the Playstation 4 will have no diskdrive, it is becoming more and more likely that the majority of the titles released for the future gaming consoles will be released over private networks and available for download… which I got to admit sounds nice – no more having to stand in line to reach a sold out sign! The future of gaming very well could be in downloadable game content and the Playstation Network Store, putting a lot more power back into the hands of the gamers!
Downloadable games require a far smaller investment to produce and make available to the public, just as downloadable music has opened up a more broad spectrum of music, downloadable game networks are likely increase the availablity of more interest specific games.
