Sony unveiled its Move system Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Game Developers conference.  The system will be available as a kit that includes the Move controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, and a Move game for the PlayStation 3.

The Move will allow gamers to play the new games as if they were part of the action. It will be similar to the Wii but more advanced. The Eye camera detects the exact location and movements of the controllers. The Eye also has voice and image recognition which will allow for alternate reality games.

The Move made make it a good idea of Sony to release the PlayStation 4 sooner. The PS3 won’t allow four player to use the Move remote and subcontroller which is required for some games. The PS4 might have more Bluetooth ports which will allow for more players using the Move remotes and subcontroller.

Playstation 4 Release Almost Common Knowledge

A lot of people are beginning to talk about the Playstation 4 release, while it is expected to be on shelves winter 2012, it is a hot topic right now. Playstation 3 consoles are now nearly profitable for the Playstation brand, this is purely console cost. iSupply has reported the estimated cost to develop a Playstation 3 at only 38 dollars above the cost of a Playstaion 3 to a consumer. This means that very soon Sony will actually be making a profit on the Playstation 3 console, this is huge for Sony as a great amount of the gaming revenue comes from the games, distribution and licensing that is involved.

This paves the way for the development of the Playstation 4. There is a lot of spectulation if the PS4 will consist some of the 3d capabilities that have been recently displayed for the (possible) next generation of televisions.

This being released by Sony does send some mixed signals, but to be honest there were a lot of great exhibits this past year at the various game shows. The 3d television could bring a whole new generation of gaming, but there was another that also caught our eye, that made us think…. maybe the next generation of gaming will just be incredibly modular, something that there will be several additions for (with the success of all of the various little Wii toys, this is likely to be the way that all console brands go). One exhibit that we thought would make a great addition to the Playstation console was the projector, check out the video below to fully understand.

It is always great to see such unique designs and ideas for the gaming world, and this is going to be addition that I expect you to see on many consoles… although dont expect it to be called the J-dome, those guys will surely be bought out… and the product marketed by each consoles brand, but this is going to be a big hit in the gaming world when the big wigs catch up…

With all of the buzz about the Playstation 4, Google News has a story on the subject nealry every day (click here to check for your self) it is anyone guess what the PS4 will offer in terms of development capabilities, gaming abilities, or even type of processor (although there are lots of rumors… One thing is for certain, the popular expected release date is 2012… Playstation 4 is already a hot topic on Google in the search engine as well (click here to check for your self) it is amazing how much information if out there, it is just trying to determine what is legitimate and what is just more from the rumor mill. We at SonyPS4.com know that there is almost no certainity yet in the Playstation 4, but can say that we do indeed believe it is now more that ever somethat that will certainly be released by Son

The Playstation 4 Release

The Playstation 4 is believed to be the next console to hit shelves, but lets take a look at why… With many experts beginning to believe the next generation of consoles can be just around the corner, lets look at some different reasons why the Playstation 4 may be the first console to hit the shelves, but it is unlikely that any console will this year or next.

I don’t expect the PS4 to be released until late 2011 at the earliest, probably 2012. The PS3 has had very poor sales, so Sony would make the next console as soon as possible to re boost consumer interest.

Nintendo Wii is doing just fine, so they wouldn’t be in a rush. Remember as of now they are still the leader, by far, when it comes to motion sensitive controls, and only need to offer a new console (or addon?) to provide the Nintendo Wii in HD.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is doing okay, could be better but I don’t believe any new console is rapidly approaching from them. The Xbox, like the Playstation, has built a following but the majority of the players are content, and not yet looking for much from Microsoft in terms of a new console. The biggest advantage that the Xbox 360 has had in it’s favor over the last generation of consoles, is it’s early release date… Yet the console has fallen short in terms of developing an audience that is loyal, or at least nearly as loyal as the Playstation audience has become.

With the most recent price cut however, sales may pick up substantially which may even accelerate Sony’s position in this seventh generation of video games competition. Just when you thought PS3 lost for sure, it got right back up and ready to compete. The Playstation will be a constant favorite of real gamers, the console has some of the most advanced features, and Playstation has always carried some of the greatest game titles.
