Playstation 4 Release Almost Common Knowledge

A lot of people are beginning to talk about the Playstation 4 release, while it is expected to be on shelves winter 2012, it is a hot topic right now. Playstation 3 consoles are now nearly profitable for the Playstation brand, this is purely console cost. iSupply has reported the estimated cost to develop a Playstation 3 at only 38 dollars above the cost of a Playstaion 3 to a consumer. This means that very soon Sony will actually be making a profit on the Playstation 3 console, this is huge for Sony as a great amount of the gaming revenue comes from the games, distribution and licensing that is involved.
This paves the way for the development of the Playstation 4. There is a lot of spectulation if the PS4 will consist some of the 3d capabilities that have been recently displayed for the (possible) next generation of televisions.
This being released by Sony does send some mixed signals, but to be honest there were a lot of great exhibits this past year at the various game shows. The 3d television could bring a whole new generation of gaming, but there was another that also caught our eye, that made us think.... maybe the next generation of gaming will just be incredibly modular, something that there will be several additions for (with the success of all of the various little Wii toys, this is likely to be the way that all console brands go). One exhibit that we thought would make a great addition to the Playstation console was the projector, check out the video below to fully understand.
It is always great to see such unique designs and ideas for the gaming world, and this is going to be addition that I expect you to see on many consoles... although dont expect it to be called the J-dome, those guys will surely be bought out... and the product marketed by each consoles brand, but this is going to be a big hit in the gaming world when the big wigs catch up...
With all of the buzz about the Playstation 4, Google News has a story on the subject nealry every day (click here to check for your self) it is anyone guess what the PS4 will offer in terms of development capabilities, gaming abilities, or even type of processor (although there are lots of rumors... One thing is for certain, the popular expected release date is 2012... Playstation 4 is already a hot topic on Google in the search engine as well (click here to check for your self) it is amazing how much information if out there, it is just trying to determine what is legitimate and what is just more from the rumor mill. We at SonyPS4.com know that there is almost no certainity yet in the Playstation 4, but can say that we do indeed believe it is now more that ever somethat that will certainly be released by Son

XBOX 360 selling 17% more last year than PS3
September 23, 2009 by Sony PS4
One of the main reasons why the PS3 hasn’t sold as much as the Xbox360 is mainly because of the economy. How much did Blu-Ray players go for when the PS3 was launched? More than the PS3 I believe. Blu-Ray was just being released to the public. Plus the Cell Processor; how many people knew what it was and what it could do at that time? It was a new technology to the public, with great capabilities. Our economy had a great effect as well. As the economy slumped, people didn’t want to spend as much money on something that was $400 – $500 as apposed to $250 – $300. With that price on hardware, it was hard for Sony to sell. Xbox had it easy, because by that time, everyone had an Xbox. Heck I had an Xbox, and still do…kinda.
Anyways just because the Xbox360 sold more units, or should I say 17% last year, doesn’t make it any better than the PS3 and or the 720 being better than the PS4. There very equal, with each having their ups and downs, pros and cons. I don’t like the Xbox360 interface, but I love the PS3’s. Xbox Live is more reliable than PS3’s online performance. The thing with that is that all Xbox360 games are run on Microsoft Servers, and PS3’s games are run on the servers of the developer who made that game. Then theres the red ring of death error. LOL EPIC FAIL! That has to be the most stupidest thing ever than a high end gaming system overheats and screws up. 33% of all of them! Come on man! Screw that, and then you had to wait 2 weeks to get a “refurbished” xbox? I hear some people have gone through at least 10 of them! I got it the other day, but I fixed it…smacked it with a wrench a few times…lol! I have heard little to no falures with the PS3. Then again both systems have their flaws, and so will the PS4 and the Xbox720, assuming those are the correct names.
It all really boils down to preference. Really guys, their equal. Xbox fanboys need to shut their yaps before I shut em permanently, and same goes for the PS fanboys, equally as annoying. Anyways, theirs my 2 sense, gotta run, criminology test today! Toodles!
3D Playstation Gaming Sooner Than Expected

3D Playstation gaming can be coming much faster than anyone had ever expected... With only about 40% of the current Playstation users utilizing the HD technology currently at their finger tips, no one was really expecting for Playstation to be pushing for the next generation display technology. But Sony is.
The Sony 3D Bravia is a 3D TV, yeah we said 3D... We have a video below from CES 2009 that talks about some of the progress that had been completed on the 3D TV, but word is Sony has come miles since this video was created.
This is far more than a rumor, or even spectulation... This is going to be in the next generation of console from Sony.
The Financial Times has a great report outlining some very key points about the future of Sony, and the 3D technology, but the most important quote for gamers is...
Due to speak today at the IFA technology trade show in Berlin, Sir Howard Stringer, Sony chief executive, will announce plans not only to sell 3D Bravia television sets, but to make Sony's Vaio laptop computers, PlayStation 3 games consoles and Blu-ray disc players compatible with the technology.
Now read that carefully, they are referring to the Playstation 3 being a 3D console in the not too distant future... Is it a typo, speculation, were they referring to the Playstation 4, or are we really going to see changes of that magnitude to the Playstation 3? Many speculate that the Playstation 3 console will experience massive changes before the console is fazed out for the next generation.
Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer has been recorded stating the "3D train is on the track--and we're the ones to drive it home." This is just one more display of Sony wanting to push above and beyond the compitention and offer the best available gaming experience. Bringing the 3D technology to the Playstation 3 will bring in such a greater value on, what is already the best buy for your dollar, the third generation Playstation console.
With the IFA trade show just around the corner, we are likely to hear more very soon!

PlayStation 3 is Getting Slimmer
Sony is the electronic giant who brought about a revolution in the gaming industry with the introduction of its playstation series. Not only did it change the whole experience of gaming but led to widespread increase in the number of gamers throughout the world.
Sony has release 3 playstation series so far with the latest being PS3. The PS4 series is currently being researched and will be coming in the market very soon. Recently reports have surfaced that Sony is planning to introduce a thinner version of PS3. The main competitors of the playstation series are the Nintendo and Xbox. They have come up with new versions which are much slimmer and contain good graphics. They together form the 7th generation of gaming series. Sony has recently developed blue ray discs for the gaming purposes. This has been done to prevent privacy. The playstation series comes in different sizes like the 20GB, 40GB and the 60 GB. It depends on the requirements of the gamers. Each sized playstation will contain some unique features. Considering the competition from Xbox and Nintendo, Sony has decided to introduce slimmer versions that could potentially be cheaper also. The E3 conference is going to be the stage where the new and slimmer version of the Sony playstation 3 is going to be launched. There is no concrete evidence suggesting this. But rumors are high that the PS3 will be released at his conference.
Sony has remained tight lipped about this entire issue. But many images of this version has been released on the net and looking at these devices, it could well seem to be the introduction of slimmer video game devices. However, one cannot altogether believe this as the images which have been are all blurred and no clear cut explanation has been given by Sony so far. The images do indicate that It may be the future of the millions of gamers out there. Some people do not believe in the authenticity of the device and feel that such technology cannot be achieved easily. The popular magazine Engadget has released these images in its site. Sony was apparently angered by this news and has served a cease and desist letter. It has also warned the site to take the images off it. Since they consider it to be highly confidential, they are also threatening to legally sue the magazine. The main reason people doubt the authenticity is because the official word hasn’t come from Sony yet and the Chinese manufacturers have allegedly released the images.
The slimmer version of playstation can be very much true. All will be known in the E3 conference that will take place. The main advantage of using the thinner version of PS3 would the low power consumption and easy portability. We all know that thinner items can be easily carried to different places easily and hence if the PS3 come as a slimmer version the portability would make it easier for you to take it to your friend’s house and play there. The low power consumption would also make it ideal to play for long hours. So all should be excited because the E3 conference will definitely give the answer to all questions we have on the thinner version of the PS3.

PS4 is coming to replace PS3 Sooner than Expected
Sony is surprising the gaming industry once again. But this time they are trying to catch up with new technologies and new advancements in the gaming industry. A clear example of Sony’s efforts is the release of the next generation in the Play Station console empire, the PS4. It will be released even before the ten year mark that they set up for themselves with the PS3 that was released a few years back.
Sony always said that the PS3 would be their game as a platform for a decade, but SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) boss David Reeves says he does not know whether 8, 9 or even 10 years. Not sure that this issue, today's date, but some things come into my mind.
First, the PS2 is still strong, according to the PS3 is available in most large customers and the existing players, we must also continue to buy the PS2 games. It is not a death stop date by all means. Secondly, this means PS4 could be here sooner than planned, but David Reeves stated that "it is not in sight." Years. Mantra of the Sony PS3 is a console with 10 years of age.
It is possible that the point of "8, 9 or 10 years" by the weakening of the public the possibility that the PS4 will be sooner than later.
But I think that the statement in the context of the statement that it’s other console makers primarily because of outdated ideas of competition on the hardware specifications alone. The PS3 is a fine material, as well as their potential is not being used to make it easier to run the program and give you a true friend and competencies on the market in search of the good work on the software and then on new hardware. It is not necessary that the new machines on the runway, to oppose the statements of the competitor machines primarily. Only the works of The Kinks, as we have already have.
We do not know for sure when the PS4 will be here but it might be soon enough that all gamers around the world should start feeling the excitement about this new console. Sony has never disappointed the gaming industry. This is why the PSP and the PS2 are still strong in the industry, even after the release of the infamous PS3 a while back. As for now, all there is to do is wait for more news from Sony, next time they might say something about when the PS4 will be here.
Left 4 Dead 2 for the Playstation 3

It is beginning to look like Left 4 Dead 2 for the Playstation 3 is not going to happen... Left 4 Dead, a title under the Electronic Arts label, is expected to be released in the Fall of 2009, and up until recently the Playstation 3 was one of the consoles listed. How ever all of that has changed when recently Electronic Arts removed all of the information regarding a Playstation 3 release from their official web site.

Is this another victim of the high cost of Playstation game development, or was Left 4 Dead never intended to reach the Playstation 3 players, just generate hype for the game?
Activision and Sony to part ways?
June 24, 2009 by Sony PS4
The CEO of Activision has been reported to have told the London Times, that should Sony not drop the price in the Playstation 3 console, that Activision may stop supporting the company. This is bad news for Sony, as Activision is a major supplier of some of the top Playstation 3 game titles... and what will it mean for the future of the Playstation 4?
Due to the high development costs the Playstation 3 requires developers to invest much more heavily into a new title for the PS3, in comparision to the work and investment required for either of the other leading consoles, Wii or XBOX 360.
In addition to the threats of Activision, the Sony video game division has also suffered heavy losses in the last year, over half a billion dollars...
While it is unlikely any developer company as large as Activision could walk away from developing for the Playstation, it is possible that this will be the push that Sony needed to provide us happy consumers with a nice holiday price break...
In the end though the problems seem to be what they always were, the Playstation 3 is so much more of a robust system and so much more than just a gaming console, this has been as much of a negitive thing as a positive thing for Sony, a good example of over delivering... The amazing graphics and ability behind the system make PS3 games some of the most expensive to develope, and the hardware within the PS3 makes it one of the most expensive consoles on the market today... That said Sony built an amazing system with the Playstation 3, and it is likely to be around for at least a couple of years before its replacement is even introduced... A lot can still be done with the PS3!
