New Playstation Move Commercial

Playstation corp seems that they may finally be ready to push out some new Playstation Move commercials, and possibly get this whole thing started… If you don’t know the Playstation Move is the new motion controlled gaming device, this one being introduced to the Playstation 3. The Playstation Move is superior to all others in so many ways… if you really want specifics visit the PS Move page.

Earlier today Kevin Butler dropped a new Playstation Move commercial…

Mostly this one is aimed at all those nay sayers that think the PS Move is going to be just wii knock off, bringing games that are aimed at children (and the rest of us only when drinking socially)… This video is just a glimpse of how Playstation took almost a novelty idea and concept of motion gaming, and took it to the next level.

Comming Soon: Sony’s Playstation Move

The PlayStation Move could cost less than $100.There has been very little news about the pricing of the new PlayStation Move controller. However, GameStop’s Canadian site is showing the expected pricing (and release date).

GameStop priced it at $59.99 CAD which exchanges to about $58.77. But this could just be idle talk.

A UK magazine published an article saying that the controller will be “around £45.” Both of these numbers could just be rumors, but it is lower than some earlier speculation.

Anyone buying the new controller will need to get the PlayStation Eye as well (which costs $40) to be able to take advantage of the new games that use motion-sensors.

Sony’s Playstation Move was highly praised when it was introduced at in March 2010 at the 2010 Game Developers Conference in San Fransisco. PSMove will be released worldwide in fall 2010, however, Sony hasn’t announced a specific date yet.

Playstation Move Release Date

The Playstation Move is the new motion controller set to be released for purchase Fall of 2010, making it the perfect Christmas gift.

The Playstation Move has been in the works for quite some time now and it is amazing so little information was leaked before the official announcement, a real credit to the Playstation team and really all of Sony. But more importantly the Playstation Move is like nothing else although it will be in direct market competition with the Wii and at some point project Natal… The Playstation Move stands alone.

The Playstation Move is the first device (controller?) that has truly achieved the goal of placing the user within the game. Take a moment and watch some of the videos below to see for your self what it is like being able to play with the full axis spectrum with a controller in hand… There really is nothing like the Playstation Move. This is also one of the two videos Sony released introducing the Playstation Move, so the games albeit amazing are still first generation.

This video does great to show off many of the uses and capabilities of the new device and really that the Playstation Move is going to open a whole new type of gaming for the Playstation 3, and likely to add several years to the life of the console. With a “Fall 2010″ release date we suspect pre-orders and pre-buy opportunities to begin as early as September, but the majority of these amazing additions to the Playstation 3 will not see game play till the morning after Christmas.
