SonyPS4.com recently ran a contest for designers and fans of the Sony Playstation brand to design what they think the Playstation 4 console could look like. Below is the design and concept model for the Playstation 4 that was above and beyond the most amazing design submitted. Throughout the entire site you can see various Playstation 4 designs and concepts, but this is the one we really think represents the current trends in design.
Playstation 4 Console 3 Color Options
There is a retro/tech design that has been incredibly popular in the last 5 years or so, and we find it incredibly likely that the Playstation 4 could offer this type of design, making it not just useful but more visually appealing as a part of every Playstation 4 owner's entertainment system. These designs are all produced on behalf of SonyPS4.com and do not represent anything from the actual Sony company, these concept designs for the Playstation 4 are to be considered fan art and do not represent anything official regarding the Playstation 4, as soon as an official design is released we will let you know.

i think the ps4 looks pretty kwl but it should be blue instead of red
please say you don’t have to have them in brite colours as they look ugly. If they look like that no never buy them even if they are good and im your adverage sony aholic no way. have that in my livingroom no chance. or even in my bedroom no basic colours fine don’t clash with house decore. the stand up one fine but why the big red colour. sooo not in.
this is just an example of what the Playstation 4 could look like, but it is not an official design. It is likely that the Playstation 4 will remain with the primary black design and color scheme.
I think you should make it blue and black not red. I do not like what the controllers look like.

I think if sony is going to make any history and great profite off the ps3 they need to slow down and wait on the ps4.I mean u spend all this money on the ps3 then u turn around and there is the ps4. They are not giving ppl time to play it. I mean its just now getting to the price that ppl can afford. The ps3 has not had time to make a name 4 its self. The new look is cool but the color is a lil to much .

Well I think what ever Sony agrees on what type of design they come up with for the awaome ps4? Just let them do what they do best because we all know that playstation is the best gaming console in the world…

My brother send me a picture of a concept look of the ps4 and I think it look so bad a s s awaome. I’m sure that u guys had seen the see through glass with white controls I think everyone would pay big bucks for that concept thanks…..

I say, go with the same similar design only make it black and deep dark burgundy red.

Are you damn crazy guys??? What the heck do you like about this design. It looks like the 90′s and very big and square like! I swear that I will not buy this console, if it’s going to look like this. I know that there are many examples of designs, but this one is the worst that I have ever seen! For sure!!!
I hate this design< i like the glass touch screen one from tai chiem!! This just reminds me of a red and white ps3!
the ps4 should be blue and black and please dont put those baby sized controllers and it should be like the ps3 not like that one all flat
sony wont be dum enough to make that design, its looks like it was made from the 118 118 team and quite frankly it is a concept of various designs so dont be worried on the design and also look at all the playstations, they all look good so dont worry
i think that design is awesome but i think we should be able to order on line in whatever color scheme that you would want. you guys should go with this design but keep my idea in thought about the color schemes
say clear with black or silver trim i myself dont even have a ps3 but thats due to money probs i think the black and silver or clear and silver would sell like heck but the stand up one should be black with silver trim

WOW!! A new look of PS4 and very thin as well even the remote controller too also thin!!…. it must be very light weight of ps4!!! i think like the new look of ps4!!!
Thats almost an upgraded coloured version of the ps1 that desing looks is odd and controllers are strange
This doesn’t look so great. The disc slot just doesn’t go there. And the red wave? Doesn’t match Sony. The controllers look like thin breakable cookies…It just doesn’t look comfortable in your hands

I think it should be clear glass with a little black circle to put the games in. that would be amazing!

i feel that the ps4 shouldnt come out yet. the ps3 is starting to come up and get great games in so the release of a ps4 should wait some time. i hope sony takes its time with the design because the white and red one does seem too 1990′s.

Well, at least I don’t like their color, it’s red and white feels like a flag!
But the designed was good, and ya…I think it’s looks like a modern next game console!! Its was look slims as well. But the controller isn’t very comfortable as look as well. It’s very slim and probably your hands feels not comfortable because is very difficult to hold it. But the analogs Controller is looks nice anyways. I love it.
I think the PS4 more big than PS3 and it’ll require a lots of places. So it’s also make you busy to keep it on your room (LoL).
By the way, where’s the R2 and L2 buttons has gone? I think, I didn’t see any buttons again on that picture was shown above. Maybe they think, we don’t need any buttons of them again someday, so they pull it off!! LoL!!
well, my opinion is, its’ll be great a next gen console someday!! and I will waiting for this stuff!! I hope I can buy it one day. and may the prices isn’t too high!! Especially the Blu-ray Games!! Thanks Sony!!!

i think the console design is good ,the color is open 4 discution . to many peaple are going to conflict,if you don’t stick w/black.now those controlers i can’t agree with .they are to flat by the look of them.the original ps2 controller seems to be not as wide as ps3,and extreemly comfortable.you could tell that the controller could hold up through some serious use,witch is to it’s benifit.just by looking at these controllers,i’m not at all content/or impressed.
well first of all i truly agree with most of the people on the controller dilemma .it is way to thin and i dont know about u people but i really like to feel like i have a grip on the controller and not like im holding a pancake .
as far as the colors dont like it but is not something that cant b fixed .anyway
the bottom line is that the world is not ready for an other console .we havent even seen all that the ps3 can ,take to be thinking on ps4 ,”dont get me wrong is really kool to speculate”.

but i think that slowing down so more people can get into the online and bluray era is the best move b4 anything else

Id think thatd be sick, but I doubt It’ll look like that. How often has sony REALLY changed their controller design? They added the anolog sticks to the PS1, and they changed the triggers for the PS3 controller, the controller more than likely has to go with the design of the console. So thats why I believe that It won’t look even close to that. I do like the design you have posted though, that’d be amazing, but is there an R2 or L2 on the controllers? and They’re too thin to grip.
ps4 will be here in late 2010 but i have an insider telling me ps5 will be here jan 1 2012 and that is a fact
I think that a great change in controllers would be to include multiple controllers into a single one. For example include motion into the new playstation controller and maybe a way to make it into a shooter controller as well. Its a pain to buy 5 different controllers to do what I want a single controller to do. The system has advanced so far but the controller never changes. We have nano tech and gadgets that used to fill entire rooms that fit in the palm of our hands now but my freaking controller can not go from d pad and joy sticks to motion sensitive to weapon yet. Maybe im a little nuts I just think it would be cool too see.
I like the consul desing not into the controllers though they should go back to ps3 controllers but with triggers like the 360 on the r2 l2 buttons.
i think that the controller should be a little thicker and more compact but i think that its still pretty see but make it black and silver now thats sexy btw im a guy so boo ya!

I truly believe PS4 should go with same design controller but a sleek black design PS3 system first came out with. I went out of my way just to get that specific design rather then its last. Even though I considered it out of my budget. If you wanna show off your PS3 on your living room at least it should match your sleek SONY electronics! Maybe later you can come out with a package of retro for new young up coming fans on the PS4. Slow down on production’s though i’m still enjoying PS3 updates. I’m on your 2nd generation fan (25)! Let blu-ray and 3D be on with an easy IPod sync Connectivity so you can also enjoy music while your at home while new graphical music visualizer is playing on your TV. I am still getting errors on my media music share from other computers. Thank you SAnta! your on my favorite 5 Mobil!!!!!!!
