If you've been keeping a close eye on where technology is heading you can clearly see that there is less of a demand for Blu ray then when DVD was popular and downloadable content is becoming more available and more and more inexpensive as memory continues to become cheaper and cheaper Ex: PSP GO, Apple iPod, etc.. And also new break threw technologies such as Solid State Drives have become a must have for Hardcore PC gamers that want to cut load times along with Fiber Optic Internet running at 3GB/s. I would be disappointed to see PS4 launch without implementing Solid State because every play station since the start has launched with the newest media platform PS 1 CD's, PS 2 DVD's, PS3 Blu Ray, PS 4 has to be SSD as its the undisputed champion in download to hard drive technology say goodbye to that shitty 120GB 5400rpm HDD in there, get ready for a 4 Tera byte SSD.

Downloadable games require a far smaller investment to produce and make available to the public, just as downloadable music has opened up a more broad spectrum of music, downloadable game networks are likely increase the availablity of more interest specific games.
