Sony Playstation 3 Blu-Ray Games

Sony Playstation 3 Blu-Ray Games are going to be released soon and will show off some of the amazing skills your existing PS3 has, but have yet to really been exposed or utilized. This is great news in terms of high quality graphics for your existing console and should result in unsurpassed game play, but will likely put the PS4 back at least a couple of years.

The development cost when in comes to utilizing the Blu-Ray technology exceeds that of the other consoles, or even normal games for the PS3, but Sony is far more interested in creating unsurpassable gaming experiences, some times to a fault. The disk storage space on a Blu-Ray game means that in addition to more indepth and higher quality graphics games built to run on the Blu-Ray PS3 system will have the storage space necessary to offer FAR more complex games, FAR more levels, and eliminate the need for multiple disks for a single game.

This is and has always been Sony’s ace in the hole when it came to the Playstation 3. Offering Blu-Ray when it was as new of a technology as possible gave them a burden when it came to the cost of manfacturing the console, but will give the Playstation 3 the ability to outlast many of the consoles from the same generation.

The investment that Sony has in the PS3 make it almost impossible to move forward at this time on a PS4, but to be honest Sony simply doesn’t need to yet.  The Playstation 3 is by far the most powerful and advanced gaming system on the market today.
