Sony Investigating PSN Online Gameplay Issues

There are rumors that a lot of people are experiencing issues with the PlayStation Network on the PlayStation 4. Sony has maintenance scheduled for today but anyway who recently signed it to their account will stay signed in.

According to Killzone: Shadow Fall developers, this glitch is actually unexpected and it is causing a lot of people problems with playing their PS4’s online. Reportedly, PSN is telling players that they need PlayStation Plus to play online, even though they already have the subscription. Chris Owen, PlayStation Europe community manager stated that there is a problem with the descriptions and it is currently being investigated. Killzone: Shadow Fall, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 are a few titles that have reported locking out users in online play.

There has been no clear solution to this matter but Sony Europe is said to be looking into the problem as we speak.

According to Sony’s PSN Support Center the service status is “online”, but there is an issue for many according to reports. In other news, PSN maintenance is set to take place from 9:00 to 14:00 PT in the United States.
