If you’ve seen the CE-34878-0 error on your PS4, you’re probably a bit mad right now because you would have had to replay the game it came out on, no matter how far along you were. Although playing the game is supposed to be the fun of the game, it is not so fun to come home one evening and find that all the work you have put into said game is completely lost and cannot be recovered. Only good news about this problem so far is that Sony is already looking into it.
There were many threads on the official PlayStation forum appealing the problem to Sony. It would appear that most games that have the error do not allow offline play.
A spokesperson from Sony made an effort to calm everyone down by saying the following.
“We are aware of the cases and we appreciate your patience while we investigate.” – Sony
Like I talked about the games that seem to be affected by this problem are: Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14, NBA 2K14, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It does not appear that the error is affected any other consoles or any other games, only these specific games on the PS4 console. We will update as soon as we hear more about the investigation.
