The current gaming lineup for the PlayStation 4 is looking a little dry for the moment, but Sony revealed today at a media briefing in Los Angeles that this will all change this year, they confirmed that over 100 titles are planned to hit the console in the 2014 year.
According to the @PlayStation Twitter account, there are over 100 PlayStation 4 games in the works for the 2014 year but there is no word yet which titles are coming. Sony also told us that Assassin’s Creed, Don’t Starve and NBA 2K14 are the titles that are most used with remote play on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Here’s a fun fact: More than 100 PS4 games are planned for release in 2014. Stay tuned for more updates from today’s media summit

Not only the PS4 got attention during the media briefing but Sony also announced that the latest PlayStation Vita Slim model will be making its way to North America. The PS Vita Slim was announced via the official PlayStation Blog, it launched last month in UK, and will be available in a Borderlands 2 bundle which will cost you a cool $199.
“The new PS Vita Wi-Fi model is approximately 20-percent slimmer and 15-percent lighter than the original version, with rounded edges to fit comfortably in your hands. The new model comes with 1GB of internal memory built into the system, and its 5-inch front touchscreen has a new high-definition liquid crystal display (LCD), giving you a high quality image that provides the same deep, immersive gaming experience that’s at the core of the PS Vita system.”
The bundle is planned to go on sale in NA sometime in spring. There has been no word on the new model going to Australia just yet, but it probably won’t be very far behind.
