The PlayStation 4 had monster number during its launch in Japan, Sony sold 322,000 units in the first 48 hours of launch, but the software at the retail level seems to be a bit soft.
According to Japanese Media Create charts, which are updated weekly, show that there were 10 PlayStation 4 games in the Top 20, but the numbers aren’t very impressive.
On top of the list is Knack, which sold over 300,000 copies but since a free copy of Knack comes with the PlayStation 4 in Japan that explains why it did so well. The other nine PlayStation 4 games that came in the Top 20 are:

The total sales numbers for software is less than 210,000 games sold at retail, which means that not everyone who bought a PS4 in Japan bought a game with it. Knack’s inclusion with the PS4 consoles in Japan might have something to do with it but there is probably more to the story.
Yakuza: Ishin a game that was much anticipated for the PS4 launched alongside the PS3 version, the PS3 version of the game outsold it by 55,000 copies, it sold 138,158 copes total. There is also the rise is digital sales to account for. All games on the PS4 are available digitally and these games are not counted by Media Create.
