PlayStation Now was announced during Sony’s keynote at CES 2014, not long after Sony’s big announcement a signup page appeared on PlayStation.com that lets users register for updates on PlayStation Now; however some people tend to believe that this sign up page isn’t only for keeping track of the PlayStation Now service but that Sony will also use it to invite certain people to the closed beta of the service.
The service will be powered by Gaikai and it will allow gamers to play games directly from cloud, games from the PlayStation 2 era all the way up to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Sony also stated that the service will not be limited to console gamers; you will also be able to use it with your smartphones, tablets and smart TVs.
Sony is planning to roll out PlayStation Now in summer this year and the closed beta is said to be as early as this month.
“We are excited about the future of game streaming and invite you to keep up with the latest news and updates on the evolution of PlayStation Now in the future. Register below to be the first to receive exclusive information on PlayStation Now”, reads a new signup page on PlayStation.com
