The Playstation Move is the new motion controller set to be released for purchase Fall of 2010, making it the perfect Christmas gift.
The Playstation Move has been in the works for quite some time now and it is amazing so little information was leaked before the official announcement, a real credit to the Playstation team and really all of Sony. But more importantly the Playstation Move is like nothing else although it will be in direct market competition with the Wii and at some point project Natal… The Playstation Move stands alone.
The Playstation Move is the first device (controller?) that has truly achieved the goal of placing the user within the game. Take a moment and watch some of the videos below to see for your self what it is like being able to play with the full axis spectrum with a controller in hand… There really is nothing like the Playstation Move. This is also one of the two videos Sony released introducing the Playstation Move, so the games albeit amazing are still first generation.
This video does great to show off many of the uses and capabilities of the new device and really that the Playstation Move is going to open a whole new type of gaming for the Playstation 3, and likely to add several years to the life of the console. With a “Fall 2010″ release date we suspect pre-orders and pre-buy opportunities to begin as early as September, but the majority of these amazing additions to the Playstation 3 will not see game play till the morning after Christmas.

Read up kiddo, the Playstation Move surpasses the Wii in many ways. Kudos to Nintendo for bringing motion controllers to the people the way they did, and being first to do so, but the Wii is still limited in terms of the game and graphics capabilities. Read more information about the Playstation Move, and compare console to console… The Playstation Move will be able to offer unsurpassed graphics, control and playability.
WTF…Wii Like…Material?????
What interested me about the video is the how accurately it read the angle of how you were holding the remote. I also like how beefy it looks, that was one problem i feel nintendo never addressed about the wii, it had some good features but the force feedback was pretty weak. Hopefully the thickness of the “move” will mean it can have a more powerful vibration feature and actually feel like your punching someone or holding a paddle in your hand. What i’ve read about this new controller from sony i’m nothing but thrilled… I’m curious to see if they’ll involve third party developers, like the developers for the popular madden franchise to maybe use it for a more in-depth quarterback experience. Plus if they do go full steam ahead with involving everyone in their new device they start a step ahead than nintendo, because they didn’t involve third party developers with their wii motion plus. Honestly the ps3 may have started out a little slugish but i’m more excited than ever to own a ps3.
I can’t wait for the release of the PlayStation Move so that I can hook it up and test it out myself!
It looks like it responds quite accurately with all of the motions that you do and the design of it is a lot slimmer to the Wii’s bulky remotes. And the remotes and the receiver looks a lot more durable. Great job Sony!
this looks awesome, and I agree that this will surpass the wii and the xbox Natal, but the pastel colored light bulbs have to go.
Def will surpass the wii. Just look at it. plus if you knew the history that ps and nintendo had, you KNOW that they will defeat them any way possible. wiki the playstation. it will tell you that they once were a “team”. nintendo and ps. before the ps one, then nintendo pulled out at the last minute.
What the wii is doing but with next gen graphics.. This will be so much better with real games and great graphics Instead of still playing Motion Mario like we were kids. Now we can actually play games we LIKE to play with motion.
