Playstation 4 Viral Videos – Under Question

A lot of questions have come up over the last couple of days regarding the authenticity of the Playstation 4 “leaked” viral videos. Those who have seen the videos usually come to the same conclusion, they are of professional quality and do seem to be in the style that Sony has been utilizing in their Playstation marketing for some time now. So why question the authenticity of the viral videos… Well, a quote from GameInformer.com has really contributed:

Sony hardware PR representative Al de Leon broke it down for us in the simplest way possible: “I can confirm that this video is not from SCE [Sony Computer Entertainment].”

This is not something we at SonyPS4.com are really ready to accept just yet… E3 is just days away and will likely have all of the answers that we are looking for, but it is very hard to believe that these videos were created as a hoax… Before we ask you if you think the Playstation 4 videos are real, lets look at some of the facts.

1. In just 1 day the video has been viewed over 150,000 times, that leans strongly to the authenticity.
2. Sony PR rep never said that the video was a hoax, or anything really, just that “this video is not from SCE”
3. The YouTube account to that uploaded these videos only has these videos, was created shortly before uploading the first of the viral videos, and has created SCElabs’s Channel on YouTube.
4. The production value of the videos seem to reach beyond what is expected or possible even possible from a non monetized hoax, the only alternative would be a hoax from an advertising company… This is certainly not that type of hoax.
5. This could likely be the perfect answer to bring a ton of much deserved attention to the Playstation 3 once the PSMove and 3d gaming is released… A faster more capable Playstation 3 console with all of these additions is at least worth a generational leap for the Playstation console… Might even give the Sony guys a reason to lower the price on the Slim PS3 again, just in time for Christmas.

Those are the top 5 reasons that we think this years E3 is going to be even more amazing than anyone had anticipated.

E3 has come and gone… The Playstation 4 was not announced, and likely will not be for several years.

But that does not mean that the Playstation team did not have a lot of stuff to show off, E3 was amazing and most importantly displayed the value and capabilities of the Playstation Move. With such a well rounded game library available for the Playstation Move release, it is certain to be a big hit.
