PlayStation 4 gamers are currently having problems with corruption of data which is resulting in the loss of progress and unplayable game saves, according to reports in a PlayStation Forum Thread.

One person reported that they lost 30 hours worth of progress in a game as a result of the glitch on the console that identifies itself as “Error CE-34878-0.” The bug doesn’t seem to be with just one specific game either, gamers have been reporting losing progress with several different titles, including NBA 2k14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. In some cases people have reported the “CE-34878-0” error preventing gamers from starting any PlayStation 4 application, making the console unusable.

The members on the PlayStation forum have suggested many different solutions to the issues which ranges from save file deletion to a complete console replacement.
