On June 10, 2013, Sony released more information and released the price and images for the PlayStation 4 next-generation console!
This new console has rich and immersive game play and very powerful graphics, with top of the line memory and integrated social features that will make it more fun for gamers to interact with each other.
To kick off their announcement, Sony shared that there are currently 140 games in development for the PlayStation 4, and 40 of them will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 console only. Over 100 of these titles will be available within the first 12 months of the PlayStation 4 release! This is amazing and means that the PlayStation 4 will be very game-heavy.
Almost all of the developers who shared information about their game development on the PlayStation 4 console said that the new PlayStation 4 development kit is better and easier to use than any before. This new SDK will allow Independent developers to create more games and self-publish them on the PlayStation Network. As more gaming companies have the opportunity to explore this new development kit, we are sure to see even more games announced!

The new PlayStation 4 console will be able to learn your preferences and adjust what it shows you based on what it knows you already like – in terms of game genres, game creators, and other game content. Players can look at game-related information that is shared by their friends, easily gain or obtain information about games, TV shows, and movies, or they can spectate their friends’ games – they can even jump in to help their friends when they are struggling through the PlayStation Network! Players will even be able to stream clips of their game play to friends on the network with little effort!
In addition, the PlayStation 4 PlayGo feature allows the PlayStation 4 console to instantly start playing your game – while the download for the other content, updates, or installation continue in the background. No delay in getting straight into your games.
Remote Play with the PS Vita is another big feature, allowing users to walk away from their console with the Vita, continuing their game play even when they cannot use the console.
Another great feature will be the PlayStation 4 App – this app will be available on iPhone, iPad, and Android based smartphones and tablets
With 40 games exclusive to the PlayStation 4, and 140 games in development, there are so many games that will be available for the new console.
