Companies are always fighting back to close their security holes but even then hackers do their job to their best ability to give trouble to the big guns in the market. Hackers always get a huge welcome from the device users, as the hacking techniques saves lot of money by giving the premium content of each device at a free of cost, and that customization aspect.

During the emergence of PlayStation 3, there was been a huge impact to the PlayStation Network as the hackers disabled the PlayStation Network, which lasted for over a month! This has heavily impacted the sale of PlayStation 3, but Sony later worked around and resolved their security holes.

Now a recent report says Sony’s is being continuously hit by millions of intrusion connections which are completely blocked by Sony’s firewall. It’s mentioned in Sony’s official forum that many secret information of PlayStation 4 has been stolen by the famous Jail breaking group, but the Jail breaking group denied it by releasing a post in their website. Well, it’s doubtful that the  Jail breakers will let out any of their information until the product reaches the market.

An inside source also says Sony developers are fighting back with their security patches to re-model the architecture of PlayStation 4’s security features. Whether it is good or bad is subjective, but hackers are on their course of inventing new threats to PlayStation 4 and its new security features.

As always, the rumors of the next generation PlayStation 4 device “Orbis” says that Sony is set to re-enable this other OS support feature with more security features to uphold the threat of being hacked. Many critics says Sony is playing a gamble by re-enabling this feature but not sure how this is going to work out as it has already faced a failure in this same feature. Insiders from Sony say they have introduced a customized kernel version rather than using the basic kernel to support this feature. This customized kernel may support specific versions of Linux only as a part of beta testing. Subsequently Sony will enable all version support after successful completion of beta testing.

But this time Sony is confident that they won’t block this feature, and that they have an alternative to block the security threats. An inside source also says Sony’s firmware upgrade during the release of PlayStation 4 will re-enable the other OS support in PlayStation 3 as well. So it’s good news for PlayStation 3 owners too after suffering for couple of years. Moreover it’s believed to be a gamble to boost PlayStation 4 sales.

As PS4 is set to release for 2013 Christmas, more rumors circulate around the world about its extraordinary processor specifications, which means the production cost of the PS4 is probably huge. The graphic chip and processor used in the PS4 is believed to be the best available in the market, so the researchers and technicians around the world predicts that PS4 cost may be higher due to the very high configuration hardware components.

But Sony’s archived history pages say it is a part of Sony’s strategy. Sony always plays well with its hardware components and its sale price to attract more buyers rather than selling low quantity at a higher price. But it’s really great news for gaming console lovers around the world as they are going to have a super computer in the name of a gaming console at a price cheaper than actually building or buying a super-computer. Even researchers and scientists are looking around for this device as they can remodel the hardware for their researches at a cheaper cost rather than buying a high configured super computer at a very high price.

One major advantage with Sony over Xbox is believed to be its massive internal storage space, but that won’t make a big difference in the competition of real world gaming. Do you think Sony can bring in something better than the voice recognition controls of Xbox? Yes, they believe they can and they have already brought up something more interesting than the boring voice recognition. There has been some rumors that the artificial intelligence implementation on PlayStation 4 is believed to sense your mood and suggest the game you would like to play or suggest whether you would like to watch movies now or play games—how? We have no idea, but it still sounds pretty cool.

Rumors always have something extra than what the devices actually have but it could be true, since Sony has to make something different than that of their competitors. We have been following several tweets from the Sony developer and they revealed that Sony PlayStation 4 is going to be a biggest milestone in console game device history. They also claim nobody can surpass them in future.

Most of these media streaming service providers have a paid service network where users need to subscribe for the required services. Users will be allowed to get these subscriptions through Sony’s new authentication process which will enable more security over the network. Other than this Video on demand service, Sony’s Video editor tool was a major success. Following its Success over this Video editor application Sony has planned to introduce an application for cutting edge editing of High definition videos. This application is believed to be installed with the System software bundle. This Video editing software may provide ability to edit three dimensional videos and it might have the ability to split videos based on the timeline.

This Video editing tool might have a bundled feature of extraction audio separately from the inputted video. Users will have option to edit the audio embedded in the videos. Users may have various options to enhance and boost the sound of a video. This application is expected to have a built in capability to upload the video files directly to the social media networks like Youtube, Facebook, etc. PlayStation 4 will be the first gaming console to come with a built-in video editing tool for High Definition videos.

The custom firmware jailbreak method has become more common in the Jailbreaking world of gadgets, especially Smartphones and PlayStations. As this firmware comes with some preloaded basic premium apps, users don’t need to download and install again. Later, Sony developers identified the root cause for the introduction of custom firmware and they have tried to block this loophole through a critical firmware upgrade, version 3.56, and through its successor version 3.60. Since this is just a critical software upgrade users may have choice to cancel this upgrade and continue to use the already Jailbroken device which has older firmware.

This is going to end in PlayStation 4, as developers have taken already enough measures to close the gap in PlayStation 3. Several application developers across the social media network have already expressed their achievement in blocking the Jailbreaking of PlayStation.  The PlayStation 4 will release with more security features than that of PlayStation 3. Sony will test this threat through its beta version of firmware 4 in the beginning of 2013, which will give a clear idea about the possibility of Jailbreaking in the new PlayStation 4 release.

Developers claim that early intrusion tests conducted on Firmware version 4 beta has passed all level of security breaches. Though PlayStation 4’s Firmware is believed to bring an end to the Jailbreaking of PlayStation, Jailbreakers are more involved in researching about the latest threats in the latest security devices. Hopefully, PlayStation 4 will be a challenge to Jailbreakers–unless, of course, they miss some crucial features gamers should have.

Though Sony has introduced PlayStation Move, a game controller which enables motion sensing in PlayStation 3 devices, it’s always believed that Sony is way behind its competitors in manufacturing motion sensing controllers & motion sensing supportive devices. PlayStation Move is similar to that of Nintendo’s Wii remote which captures every movement and sends it as an image sensor to the receptors, which in turn processes the image and provides an accurate gaming experience. After the success of PlayStation Move with the integration of PlayStation 3, Sony’s main target is to detect the motion of human body without any remote controller device, making it more similar to Xbox Kinect.

More rumors in social media websites says that Sony has invested a huge sum of money in researching a new form of motion sensing controllers and that will be implemented in PlayStation 4. Social media hype is always believable up to some extent, as the similar console developers like Microsoft and Nintendo has already achieved this. Sony’s PlayStation 4 will be the next rock star in the console world if it can perfect motion sensing technology.

Already Microsoft’s latest Xbox 360 release has blown up all the console manufacturers with its controller free technology. Historical data shows Sony has always won the war of Game Controllers. The Dualshock 3 released for PlayStation 3 was a major hit when compared to that of Xbox 360 gamepad. With the combination of PlayStation Move, PlayStation 3 has moved one step ahead of Microsoft’s Xbox. Hope Sony’s PlayStation 4 will continue to be the best competitor for Xbox 360 and hope it will win the war of Game Controllers again.

So what will the PS4 motion sensing gaming look like?

Though PlayStation 3 was believed to be very tough to jailbreak, the hackers around the world disproved it by providing a Jailbreak USB device. This device had the power to allow unsigned code execution on PlayStation 3 which helps in backing up the games as this device had a backup manager software. This software allowed users to copy the games from the original discs to either external or internal hard drive. There were many versions of Jailbreaking tools which provided easy access to the piracy world.

This Jailbreaking technology made a root cause for the evolution of many portable media players and devices. Later PS3’s security system was breached and it allowed unsigned codes without any external USB device and hackers reached to a level to capture the private key used for signing the device. This leads to make the piracy software look more genuine and Sony’s PSN was not able to trace the Jailbroken devices. This was believed to be the root cause for the Sony’s new rumors about PS4’s new authentication process for its games.

Developers claim that they have fixed all the loop holes of PlayStation 3 in PlayStation 4 through a typical hardware change and they challenge the hackers over the new hardware design. It’s more rumored that the combination of new authentication process and this hardware design change will be a big threat for the jailbreaking world. Developers claim that the unauthorized external device connection may lead to a complete block of the whole device, which will lead to warranty termination.

But Jailbreakers still have faith in the developer’s programming bugs to get into the Console and close this block. More rumors are released in Twitter suggests that Jaibreakers have already explored all the latest hardware chips which are rumored to be used in PlayStation 4 and they identified several loop holes to breach the security wall of PS4.The war between the Developers and Hackers will never end as they are prone to fight in the programming world.

Yes, there are a lot of gamers out there who say the PS3 isn’t used to its full capacity; that a PS4 is not necessary yet; but most gamers disagree. Haven’t you ever been playing a game and noticed something jump or twitch in the graphics? That has nothing to do with the game, but with the processor and graphics chip.

But the supposed specs on the PlayStation 4’s processor and graphics chip is heartening. It is said that the PS4 may use the AMD A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU. Is that a bunch of nonsense to you? If so, we’ll break it down.

The AMD processor is quad-core with a speed of 2.9Ghz, and a graphics chip is already integrated within it. Sony is designing the PS4 to use the AMD APU in sync with the GPU: the Radeon HD 7670. The Radeon GPU is a DirextX 11-enabled card. It has been clocked at 1GHz (yay) with VRAM up to 1GB. That’s a lot of hardcore hardware, the best on the market for PCs currently.

Also, about the Radeon HD 7670: there have been rumors on the web about the Xbox 720 using the Radeon HD 6670. They have nearly identical specs, so the Xbox 720 and PS4 will be very close in terms of graphics (we’re not surprised).

But the place where the PS4 will obviously excel: it’s integration of the APU. Already on the AMD processor is the HD 6650D, which runs lower resolutions than the 7670. In layman’s terms: it will be able to process the baseline specs on games, without touching the more powerful GPU. Two for the price of one, pretty much.

Of course, remember that these are not guaranteed specs on the PlayStation 4, but it would be smart—unless, of course, a more advanced processor comes out before the beginning of next year.

Oh, and we’re still hoping that Sony changes its mind about PS4 used games.
