Konami have announced that digital and hard copies of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be going for just $30 on the PlayStation 4. Before this price reduction hard copies of Metal Gear Solid V were going for $40 while the digital copies of the game have always had a price tag of $30.
Konami said that the new lower price will “provide as many people as possible an opportunity to experience the game,” the game runs on Kojima Productions’ FOX Engine. The announcement that was made today does not have any effect on the PlayStation 3 version of the game which still sells for $30 for the hard copies and $20 for the digital copies.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will launch on March 18th and the prequel to the game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, may not launch until late 2015 or even 2016.
