Hideo Kojima the creator of Metal Gear Solid has been meditating on a number of Medal Gear Solid custom consoles that he has released in the past, and he also hinted that another one is probably on the way.
The veteran video gamer spoke out on Twitter; where he showed us some of the custom PSP and PS3 consoles he helped create. After discussing the past he sent a Tweet in Japanese that seemed to hint that he will soon be adding another to his collection.
“After all, I wonder if you want a limited edition?” he asked. A couple of hours later he followed up by saying “[SONY] × [PS4] × [MGS GZ] collaboration initiative is in progress. More information at a later date.”
While this isn’t confirmation at all, it seems odd that Kojima would go down to old memory lane for no reason, listing all of the consoles that he has helped create along with Sony right before asking if the gamers would like to see another one, and then coming out and saying that there is a project in the works that involves the PS4 and Ground Zeroes.
He said his favorite theme for the PS3 was Gun Metal, so maybe we’ll see a similar design on the PS4 sometime in the future.
