Lego Marvel Super Heroes – 30 Minutes In

This is that sand area.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes.. What can I say. I want to think one of the main problems here is I am 30 years old and am more interested in sports games and shooters… but I don’t think that is it. My first impression was of the game was that it seemed odd to have the marvel characters as legos, but hey… that is the franchise.
So i looked past that and…

First, there was a glitch that got the person I was playing with stuck… literally within the first 10 minutes of play.

This is that sand area.
This is that sand area.

Second, once we restart and avoid the glitch, we are in the sand area… towards the end of the area we are prompted to use a character that has super human senses… yet we have not unlocked one. The is only Hulk and Iron Man, neither of which are helpful in finding “invisible” items. After meandering around for about 10 minutes we found the item, and in the next area unlocked spider man, who would have been perfect at finding the items with his spidey sense. Seems to me it was poorly thought out, or I am just missing the hints.

I was also not a big fan of the fact that players could do damage to each other, I understand the realistic aspects of that, but with Hulk being such a clumsy character it was rather difficult not to occasionally do harm to to the other player.

Either way, this is not the game for me.
