As for the CPU the PS3 was having an 8-core prossessor 90nm i believe that the new one will be on 4,2GHz as you say but with 32 cores on 32nm its possible. One last thing, i think that sony will use a GPU (RSX2) that will be powerfull like GTX-590, do not forget that when the PS3 come out there was no PC with 1500Euro and less that was able to bit it on performance. i think the same will happend with the PS4.
