The sixth installment of Assassins Creed is coming – Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, and it will be coming to the PlayStation 4 next-generation console.
This new historical action-adventure open world video game is scheduled to be released October 29, 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3, Wiki U and XBox 360. However, it will also be released for the PlayStation 4 and XBox One in the future shortly afterwards, but no specific date has been released yet.
This newest entry into the Assassin’s Creed series will feature three main cities – Kingston, Havana, and Nassau, all cities well-known historically for their involvement or connection to the pirates of the High Seas. Almost half of the game play will take place on the sea, and more than half will take place on land, but it should have a very “open world” feel to the game, allowing players to wander around and explore the world just as much as play in it.
Players will also still have the ability to hunt as well – both on land and in the sea, and the player will get to captain and upgrade their own ship, with easy access to use the ship on a whim if they desire, and players will be able to go underwater as well.
